Selling online is one of the popular ways of generating a good income for many who wishes to have a business. While some do it as their side hustle, many sellers have also ventured into it full-time. They may not have a physical store but selling over the internet can give sufficient earnings just like a regular job when you exert effort consistently, dedicate your time, and work hard to grow the business.

Nowadays, many people are purchasing goods over the internet, hence the success of online shops and marketplaces like Poshmark. Not only does it offer convenience for sellers, but it also makes it easy for buyers to scroll through thousands of listings and buy what they want online without going to the malls and outside the comfort of their homes.

Having a Poshmark closet is easy. After signing up with the Poshmark platform, you can then start listing. Upload good-quality photos of the item that you want to sell, give it a structured title with lots of keywords, write a complete detailed description, and list it with a competitive asking price by using a good pricing strategy, and you're good to go. You've got yourself a head start to success!

But don't forget that the competition can be tough (unless your item is the only one out there!). So, how are you supposed to make your closet stand out, establish interaction with the platform users, and reach your potential buyers? Simple! Utilize and maximize Poshmark features and tools!

While you can boost your presence by doing self-shares, community shares, following other poshers, and liking other sellers' listings, there is one key feature that you can take advantage of when selling on this platform - Poshmark Offers.

In this blog post, we'll let you in some tips and tricks on how you can boost your sales by using different types of Offers on Poshmark. This way, you'll gain an advantage over your competitors, and you can then make more conversions. Read on and equip yourself with the knowledge to make your Poshmark venture successful.

What are Poshmark Offers?

Marketing your listings may feel insufficient when you're not interacting with your potential buyer. Everyone in the business world can agree that lack of communication and opportunity to persuade a buyer or customer impacts their purchase decision. Do it well, and you'll get conversions; do it insufficiently, and you'll lose sales and potentially repeat customers. Always remember, giving a great customer service experience equals loyal customers!

There are kinds of reasons why salespeople do what they do when a customer comes into their shop. For example, salespeople in a department store will always approach you when you go into their business and offer their assistance to choose the product that suits you while sweet-talking you into buying from them. It is also their way of giving you a good seller-buyer relationship so you can get a great customer service experience and come back for more purchases. You see, establishing a good connection with buyers is what keeps the business going.

Like virtual marketplaces such as Poshmark, the Offers feature works as your virtual portal to establish a good relationship with your potential buyer while influencing their purchase decisions. More than growing your Poshmark account and earning followers, this feature allows you to boost your sales by sending private seller discounts in your closet.

This feature revolves around providing your potential buyers a chance to save some bucks (within reasonable offers, of course) while your closet generates conversions.

While most of the time, you're the one to send offers to your potential buyers as an anchor to make more sales, buyers who are on the lookout for good steals can also send you offers and haggle their way to buying your item at an affordable price.

Offers is an excellent avenue where you can engage in a negotiation with your potential buyer. You may offer them a price drop or the lowest offer that your earnings can tolerate until you both arrive at an acceptable price. And because you can interact with buyers without exposing yourselves to a public exchange of conversations, this is also where you can answer questions your potential buyers might have.

Kinds of Offers

Make an Offer feature is an easy and streamed-line type of offer that guarantees a quick sale when your potential buyer accepts your offer. Through this feature, you can privately reach out to your potential buyer so both of you can negotiate the price of your item. Because this feature is binding, the payment is automatically processed, and the transaction will be tagged as complete once the offer is accepted.

One great advantage of using this offer feature is that you get to hit that decline button when you receive a low ball offer. It allows you to filter out which negotiations to accept and which you should not. Furthermore, because Make an Offer enables you to engage in a conversation with another user, this is also where you can answer any additional questions they might have.

There are different types of Offers on Poshmark that you can utilize to boost your sales:

Offer to Likers: This feature lets you send private offers to poshers who have liked your listing. The advantage of using this is that you can lower your current listing price without publicly offering it, and only those who have shown interest in your item will be notified of your discount. Here are some requirements that you need to comply with before you can create an Offer:

  • Your offer must be at least 10% below the lowest offer your potential buyer has received for the same listing in the last 90 days.
  • If it is the first offer a potential buyer receives, the offer must be at least 10% below the current listing price.
  • Your offer should always include a shipping discount which will be deducted from your earnings.

To send an Offer to Likers:

  1. Go to your listing
  2. Select Offer / Price Drop
  3. Select Offer to Likers (private)
  4. Enter Your Offer
  5. Select a Shipping Discount
  6. Select Submit

Bundle Offers: Through Posh Bundles, you can send a private offer to your potential buyer containing multiple listings that they may be interested in. This is where buyers get to purchase multiple listings from one Poshmark closet without paying for the individual shipping cost of each item.

To send a Bundle Offer:

  1. Go to a Bundle that has at least one item
  2. Select Offer
  3. Enter Your Offer and Shipping Discount (optional)
  4. Select Submit

To add an item to your potential buyer's Bundle:

  1. Go to your closet and select a listing that you would like to add to the buyer's bundle.
  2. Tap on Share and select or find the user where you would like to add the listing.
  3. Once you share an item with a specific user, it is automatically added to their Bundle.

To find a buyer's Bundle using the app:

  1. Go to your Account Tab (@username).
  2. Select My Bundles.?
  3. Switch to Sell.
  4. Locate the Bundle and select View Bundle.

To do this on the web

  1. Select your profile picture at the top-right of the page.
  2. Select My Bundles.
  3. From the left-side menu, select Sell.
  4. Locate the Bundle and select View Bundle.

Don't be surprised if you get a notification that a buyer is sending you an offer, as they can also utilize this feature. These poshers are looking to haggle, get more discounts, and occasionally are low ballers. Sellers can also be buyers, so you can also do this when buying from another seller, especially if you are getting some items for your inventory.

To Make an Offer as a buyer:

  1. Go to a listing or a Bundle
  2. In the mobile app, tap Offer, or on the web, select Make an Offer
  3. Type in your offer price and confirm your payment and shipping information

Take note: Any Offers with no response or counter offer will expire automatically after 24 hours. In addition to this, buyers who have received an Offer to Likers for a listing cannot receive a Bundle offer for the same listing that is found in a single-item Bundle.
